Intensive Moscow's Assaults Disrupt Power Throughout Kyiv

Power facilities under attack in Ukraine
The country's energy systems have come under escalating strikes in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Russian aerial assaults have led to power cuts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were injured while local people in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and dealt with problems to drinking water, according to municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was killed in a different Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the southern area, based on information from regional authorities.

Moscow has increased strikes on energy facilities over the past few days, while the country's government has called for "concrete actions" from international partners to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not window dressing but firm measures - from the United States, European nations and the Group of Seven - in supplying air defence systems and applying penalties," was stated in a public message.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and several dozen missiles struck the country's power systems, describing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were striving to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles damaged power facilities and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Several of the people wounded in the attacks on the city have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by local officials.

Local officials said the metropolitan region endured significant strikes overnight. A seven-year-old child was killed and multiple civilians were wounded.

The attacks come after nights of bombing campaigns in the area, parts of which are occupied by invading troops.

The entire country is on alert for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are tougher to identify.

Government officials told journalists that Moscow was purposely seeking to damage the electrical infrastructure, with assaults already disrupting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and government agencies were preparing for more assaults.
